A social environment is a sort of environment in which an individual grows, interacts and adapts. The development of an individual and/ or a community solely depends on its social environment. Considering this, a study has been conducted among a prominent scheduled caste community in the Barddhaman district of West Bengal called ‘Bauri’. The study was conducted in a small secluded portion of Mandaljana village, locally called Purba Mandaljana. Despite several state and central government developments in educational affairs, education is still unthinkable among the Bauris of Purba Mandaljana. The present paper sought to deal with the vacillating concept of education prevalent among them. Additionally, the paper takes up the woeful conditions they face daily, which affect the educational attainment rate. An analysis of their past and present issues has also been put forward.

The present paper attempts to examine the socio-economic and demographic profile of the women living in the district of South Salmara Mankachar. The study is based on a primary survey. The primary data were collected at the individual level from married women in the working age group 15-16 years by filling out structured questionnaires. Through a multistage sampling procedure, 400 households were selected, and the total sample covered 506 respondents. The study deals with various indicators like age, level of education, employment level, income patterns, Religion, and caste to know their detailed scenario, causes, consequences, and circumstances of the existing socio-economic condition. We also include household-level characteristics to calculate the wealth Index using principal component analysis (PCA) to make some inferences regarding the people’s standard of living in the region. The study suggests that there is a need to improve the economic status of women through the promotion of livestock rearing, participation in self-help groups (SHGs), and engagement in other income-generating activities. Such measures would enable women to achieve economic independence and enhance their capability to lead lives they have reason to value. A successful study on women’s living conditions can improve the efficiency of policy measures to carry out interventional and welfare measures.

The unexpected onset of COVID-19 baffled mankind. Frantic efforts to stop the spread of the disease were employed, but to no avail. Short-term measures like steaming were proposed, but these were not fruitful, and the disease continued to spread globally. In December 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first medication. Drugs started to reach developing countries like Zimbabwe, but people had no clear information on these drugs. Delays in vaccine uptake have led to continued mortality associated with COVID-19. Hesitancy to vaccination implies that similar future outbreaks of infectious diseases will be hard to control if perceptions in people’s minds are not cleared. The study applied survival analysis to establish the length of time an individual takes to finally and willingly decide to get vaccinated. This was due to many factors, including trust in the vaccine’s origin and efficacy, side effects and many other perceptions. The research found that gender (p < 0.05), employment (p< 0.05), allergy (p < 0.05) and comorbidity (p < 0.05) were influential in deciding whether to get vaccinated or not. It is recommended that information on deadly diseases be available on reliable sources to circumvent misinformation and enhance the acceptability of vaccines in similar future outbreaks.

This study aims to explore the potential of utilising Christian doctrine and ethics as a framework for controlling cybercrime, specifically the prevalent phenomenon known as “Yahoo Yahoo,” within the Nigerian context. The research employs a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on insights from theology, ethics, law and criminology. It comprehensively reviews Christian teachings, ethical principles, and legal frameworks relevant to cybercrime prevention. Additionally, qualitative interviews and focus group discussions with religious leaders, legal experts, law enforcement officials, and affected community members are conducted to gather diverse perspectives on the issue. Despite legal and technological interventions, the prevalence of cybercriminal activities continues to pose serious challenges to individuals, businesses, and the nation’s reputation. The study finds that Christian doctrine and ethics offer valuable insights and resources for addressing the root causes of cybercrime, including issues of moral integrity, social responsibility, and community accountability. By emphasising principles such as honesty, stewardship, and respect for human dignity, religious teachings can foster a culture of ethical behaviour and deter individuals from engaging in fraudulent activities. Moreover, religious communities can play a pivotal role in promoting awareness and facilitating rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.

This article provides an introduction, lithic illustrations, raw material exploitation strategies, and lithic studies in India and abroad related to prehistoric archaeology. In general, this article includes an overview of the history of the topic (e.g., history of stone tools research) as well as an overview of the current research on prehistoric archaeology around the globe. It contains many references and an additional bibliography, so readers can use the articles as an initial stage for finding references. The bibliography alone would be a valuable reference tool because it gives researchers a starting point for learning about the idea and methodology. This paper is for the target audience, especially young researchers. The reader will likely know about lithics in general, probably having experience in other countries or regions, but nothing specifically about research in the topic or region. The authors mentioned recommended references with detailed descriptions throughout the text. The reader will likely know about lithics in general, probably having experience in other countries or areas of research as well.

Keywords: stone tools, books and journals, raw material, ethnographic analogy.
